About Power of 1000
Our Mission
Masjid Al Rahman is not a capital campaign. It is a covenant between 1000 families to sustain a permanent place of worship — monthly, consistently, together.
Our target is $100 per month per family (with $50–$150 tiers available). At full membership we generate $100,000 every month — enough to acquire land, build, and operate a masjid that outlasts all of us.
"Whoever builds a masjid for the sake of Allah, Allah will build for him a house in Paradise."
Use of Funds
Funds raised through this campaign will be used for purposes related to the acquisition, construction, and operation of Masjid Al Rahman in Bakersfield, California, including but not limited to land purchase, building construction, utilities, maintenance, and operational expenses.
Our Organization
The Power of 1000 campaign is operated by Sunrise Community Center, a California nonprofit corporation recognized as tax-exempt under IRS Section 501(c)(3).
